It's The Final Countdown

It’s here, the final countdown!

With only FIVE DAYS until bump in at the civic theatre, its all hands on deck. It’s the final Tuesday rehearsal today at ASPIRE, meaning it is the very last rehearsal before tech run at the Civic Theatre.

School holiday rehearsal week was everything I had hoped it would be. It was a fast paced yet exciting week, and I loved every second of it. Being on the other side showed me just how much the show can improve each day with hard work, it was very inspiring to see the passion displayed by the cast.

The set and costumes look incredible and definitely bring the show to life. I cannot wait for you all to see this show, it’s big and it’s powerful and it’s brilliant.  I witnessed firsthand the town of Singlebrook being brought to life, full of passionate town criers, and families just like your own. You don’t want to miss the chaos brought to Saint Dunston’s when the internet is mysteriously disconnected!

If you haven’t already got your tickets make sure you go get some right now! Disconnected is not a show you are going to want to miss. For tickets head over to https://civictheatrenewcastle.com.au/what-s-on/all-shows/aspire-program-presents-disconnected.

And to our wonderful cast, if I can give you any advice, go out there and have the best time! Perform your hearts out with your ASPIRE family, I can assure you this will be a very special week you will never forget.

That reminds me, if any junior cast members don’t want the magic of ASPIRE to end just yet, why not join my Junior Theatre Makers group! (Yes, this is open to all juniors from any ensemble!) Come and find me at rehearsals or email us to find out more.

Until after production week, Sophie
