Assistant Stage Manager
Riley is a trained theatre technician who has had a passion for the creative arts her whole life. Within the past few years, she has discovered her love of working behind the scenes, after many years of performing onstage.
She completed her Certificate III in Live Production and Services in 2018 through the subject VET Entertainment at St Francis Xavier’s College, where she was first in her class. As part of her training, she was a member of the Student Production Ensemble for ASPIRE’s 2017 Production, ‘The Hoarders’. She enjoyed it so much that she returned as the Assistant Stage Manager for the 2019 Production, ‘356 Questions, Answers and Good Deeds’.
Riley has worked on many productions since graduating school in 2018, some of which include Newcastle Theatre Company’s productions of ‘A View from the Bridge’, and ‘Postcards from Kafka’, where she was the technical operator, and Knock and Run’s production ‘The Unseen’, where she designed and operated the sound and lighting.
Riley is currently working as a Back of House Technician at The Civic Theatre, as well as working as a freelance technician.
She loves ASPIRE and is looking forward to many more years to come.
