Dance Assistant Ensemble Director
Montana was born in Maitland, Australia. She began her RAD training under the instruction of Miss Daphne Parker. She is a former student of Maire Walton Mahon Dance Academy and a Graduate from The National College of Dance in 2014. After being offered a place at Joffrey Ballet School and Budapest Dance Theatre youth Program, Montana furthered her dance training at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School.
Montana’s qualifications include; RAD, Diploma of Dance Elite Performance, Diploma In Contemporary Dance and Certificates III & IV In Dance. She is also has her qualifications in Acrobatic Arts.
Both on the off the stage Montana has had great experiences throughout her career. She was lucky to spend a week secondment training with Australian Dance Theatre and Sydney Dance Company. She has danced as a performer at the Australian Dance Festival, Sydney Eisteddfod Open Age Dance Groups Performed at the Opera House, is a former NRL Cheerleader. She had the opportunity to work with local music artist Lucaley on her music video “Human Cacoon” in 2015. During that time she also performed in a dance project “de meisjes” directed by Lisa Hennigolsen and performed in the International Dance Day in Copenhagen, Denmark. Upon returning from overseas she expended her education and found a growing passion for teaching.
Montana has been teaching since 2013, specialising in Jazz, Contemporary and eisteddfod solo’s and groups. She also has a growing passion for choreography and technique programs and hopes to guide and educate her students whilst encouraging a passion for dance. Montana is a dance instructor at the National College of Dance, working with the junior academy and sports program. She has worked with local Pre Schools, Primary and High School in either dance workshops and school productions.
Montana is eager and excited to join the ASPIRE this year and hopes to bring all her high energy and experience to the ensemble and staff.
