Dance Ensemble Director

Lauren has been teaching for nine years now encompassing many different styles and ages.

She completed a Cert IV in Performing Arts from Sydney’s well known Brent Street Studios in 2005.

During her time in Sydney she enjoyed teaching and performing. She has worked in professional productions in Sydney and Newcastle and some have taken her overseas.  Lauren has trained with industry professionals such as Matt Lee, Kelly Abbey, Rachel Beck, Cameron Mitchell, Leah Howard and more.

After moving back to Newcastle, Lauren opened her own casual dance studio in order to share her passion for dance with others and to open the opportunity to people from all walks of life. Her studio (Lift Dance Fitness) had dedicated clientele from ages three to sixty and ran for three years before she moved on to pursue new ventures.

Lauren has also worked with local primary and high schools preparing dance and drama performances for in-school performances and state showcases.

Dance Ensemble Director was Lauren’s role in ASPIRE 2012. She loved the experience and can’t wait to be a part of each next years ensemble’s growth.

She is a passionate teacher and performer who wants to share her love of dance and help produce a platform for talented young people to create and grow.
