Vocal Ensemble Director

Jeanette Chapman has shared her passion for music and education from a very young age!

After completing her studies at University of Newcastle, Conservatorium of Music (Bachelor of Music Education) Jeanette taught at;

* St Joseph's High School, Aberdeen (Yrs 7 to 12)

* Loyola College Mount Druitt (Yrs 11 to 12) and then while starting a family in 1998, she taught piano, singing & guitar privately from home


Since 2005, Jeanette has worked as a Specialist Music teacher in primary schools within our diocese;

* St John's Lambton

* Corpus Christi Waratah

* Holy Family Merewether Beach

* St Columba's Adamstown

* St Columban's Mayfield

* St Peter's Stockton

In 2015, Jeanette was targeted as a 'Distinguished Educator' by the Musica Viva in Schools Program. This entails educating and helping local Hunter teachers with the annual Musica Viva ensemble school visits. Also in 2015 Jeanette attended the National Orff Conference in Canberra in 2015, encouraged by CSO and Musica Viva.

In 2013 Jeanette took on the role of Vocal ensemble support person ASPIRE, and since 2014 she has been Vocal Ensemble Director for ASPIRE … and loving every minute of it!
