Stage Band Assistant Ensemble Director

Dominic has been studying and playing music since the age of 4. He is primarily a pianist having completed AMEB Eighth Grade and has played acoustic/electric guitar, bass guitar and drums for over 10 years.  

 Completing his HSC in 2016, Dominic received the highest mark for Music 1 in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese. Following this, Dominic moved to Sydney to complete a Bachelor of Music Studies (Contemporary Music) at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Under the guidance of industry professionals such as Paul Mac, Rainbow Chan and Toby Martin, the course develops production, performing and composing skills. 

Dominic has experience in other areas of the performing arts having been a member of Upstage Youth Theatre from 2011-2017. He featured as a lead role in the company’s productions of Dags and Romeo and Juliet and most recently was the Musical Director of Much Ado About Nothing. 

This year, Dominic began a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) to allow him to make his passion for teaching his career. Having been a member of the ASPIRE Stage Band as a keyboardist from 2012-2015, he is hugely excited to be involved with the ASPIRE program again in 2020.
